Our fully-funded virtual sessions introduce you to ways of ensuring every click counts, how you can analyse your effort and see a return from your digital dialogue.

What Google Analytics can tell you about your website’s traffic (2 hours)

A useful session aimed at business owners that have an established website with google analytics in place but are keen to increase confidence and understand its potential. Hands-on support showing key metrics and helpful reporting. Includes troubleshooting time to rectify possible analytics configuration.

Using Facebook to promote your business (2 hours)

This session will introduce the Facebook channel, showcase what it can do, and help businesses navigate the tools available to them on it. It will end with all attendees taking away a basic social media plan.

Getting your digital strategy sorted (3 hours)

A session designed for the digitally distressed and directionless. This session will help you identify what, when and how you dive into digital. We’ll show you how to:

– Choose the right social networks for your business.
– Identify your target audience.
– Plan content that suits the network and your audience.

We’ll show you the best bits for your business – making sure digital delivers.

Working with WordPress (3 Hours)

An informative introductory session to the WordPress dashboard showing basic tools and navigation, how to edit and adjust as well as change themes and plugins. Ideal for those that have a self-hosted version installed already.

– Create pages using the WordPress blocks editor.
– Customise a free theme to reflect your branding.
– Install and set up plugins to add functionality to your website.

Introduction to Canva for branded graphics (2 hours)

A great opportunity to create branded graphics for your business. This easy session will help navigate and use the app itself – identifying ways of using this platform for social media.

What you need to know about SEO (3 hours)

An informative workshop aimed at business owners that are keen to understand what google needs to improve rankings and how to make changes to help increase website performance.

– Recognise how Google ranks websites.
– Identify three things you can improve to boost your site’s performance in search.
– Create a list of factors that influence where your site appears in Google.

A great opportunity to identify and develop a list of actionable improvements.

Using Instagram to promote your business (2 hours)

A useful introductory session to recognise the platform’s basic features and how to use the channel to promote your business with the workshop ending with you creating your own social media plan.

Eligibility:
The North East Business Support Fund provides funding to allow currently trading, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear based SME’s to attend 12 hours of a range of free to access workshops.

Previous fundin
If you are based in Northumberland or Tyne and Wear and you’ve received NEBSF funding from us between February 2018 and December 2020, you will not be eligible for the workshop programme.

How many people can attend from each business? Each eligible business can send one person on the sessions.
Do I have to attend more than one session? Yes, you’ll need to attend at least 12 hours of sessions in total.
